PDF Document Tools privacy policy
Learn how document processing stays local, what hosting data may exist, when ads apply, and which privacy choices are available.
Data controller
The operator of PDF Document Tools is the controller of personal data processed for this service. Send privacy questions or rights requests to pengzhou267@gmail.com.
Documents are not uploaded or retained
Conversion, splitting, merging, and image rendering happen in the current browser. The site does not upload document contents to the operator’s servers or retain documents or generated files after processing.
Locale service
The optional /api/locale endpoint uses country or region information supplied by the hosting platform only to choose a default language. The application does not log IP addresses, and the endpoint receives no document content.
Hosting and CDN logs
Hosting and CDN providers receive network requests and may process IP addresses, browser details, request times, and URLs and retain access or security logs under their own policies. The operator does not control their exact retention periods.
Google advertising data
Only when a valid publisher ID is configured and ads are displayed may Google and its advertising partners process IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, ad interactions, and data from cookies or similar technologies.
Purposes and legal bases
Necessary network requests deliver the requested service; abuse prevention and security rely on the operator’s legitimate interests. Where applicable, non-essential advertising cookies or similar technologies are used only with consent.
Recipients
Recipients may include hosting and CDN providers, Google and advertising partners when ads are enabled, remote-image hosts selected by the user, and authorities where legally required. The operator does not sell or upload document contents to these recipients.
Retention boundaries
The operator does not retain document contents or generated files. The language preference remains in the user’s browser until cleared. Hosting providers, CDNs, and Google set retention under their own policies; the operator cannot promise or control their exact periods.
Your privacy rights
Applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or receive portable data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Contact pengzhou267@gmail.com; you may also complain to a supervisory authority.
Consent management in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, if Google ads use cookies or similar technologies that require consent, the site will use a Google-certified CMP to request a choice first and provide a way to manage or withdraw consent.
How Google uses data
Google separately explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Google processing and retention follow its policies; this site does not promise a specific Google retention period. Google partner sites policy
